Introduction

Student Wellbeing plays a pivotal role in our school community. St Monica’s vision focuses on:

  • Celebrating, respecting and valuing diversity.
  • Valuing and acknowledging the students’ development. through education.
  • Promoting lifelong learning so as to thrive actively in an ever-changing global community.
  • Upholding a strong view of social justice that builds trusting relationships.

The school values respect, diversity and celebration. Each student is seen as a gift from God; they are respected as people and given the opportunity to celebrate their personhood. The school values what students contribute to our school, local and wider community.

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) is a focus for 2012 with all classes exploring which attitudes and behaviours they need to develop in order to realise our School Vision in every day life.
