Enjoy looking at a little snapshot of our life and learning here at St Monica’s School Footscray. It is an incredible learning community and such a wonderful place to belong to.
St Monica’s has a long tradition of providing excellent education to families in Melbourne’s West. Since the first tent school was set up on the banks of the Salt Water (Maribyrnong) River over 160 years ago St Monica’s has been living out its mission to ‘Make a Difference,’ in the lives of its students and their families.
St Monica’s families come from a wide range of ethnic and cultural groups. This richness in diversity is one of our key strengths.
St Monica’s is a warm and inclusive community that provides each child with the opportunity to develop and nurture their natural passion for learning. We encourage all our children and families to contribute to the life and direction of our school.
St Monica’s provides an intimate learning environment, with small classes and focused teaching, where everyone is known and valued. Together with the children and families, our staff work to create a challenging and stimulating learning environment that is focussed on meeting individual needs and encouraging each child to incorporate their passions and interests into their learning. Together we are lifelong learners ready for what the 21st Century has in store for us.
As Principal of St Monica’s school, I lead a skilled and passionate professional team that is collaborative, open and centred on life-long learning for all.
Together as a community, we shape our vision and values to provide a Catholic school of excellence for every child.
I look forward to chatting with you and even working with you as a valued member of our St Monica’s Community.
